We are excited to introduce the Bethel Immigration and Community Assistance Program (BICAP), a new initiative designed to support newcomers and Canadians from elsewhere as they settle into Goose Bay. Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment where individuals can build connections, develop language skills, and feel embraced by our community.
Here are just a few of the many services we offer:
1. Assistance with obtaining your Permanent Residency (PR)
2. Guiding you through the process of obtaining MCP.
3. Assistance in keeping your immigration papers up to date.
4. Learning English, Online and in person courses available.
5. Learning to drive, obtaining your driver licence.
6. Looking for employment.
7. Finding suitable housing.
8. Choosing a school for your children.
9. Meeting new friends and so much more.
Conversation Café
A key component of BICAP is the Conversation Café, a weekly gathering that offers participants the opportunity to practice and improve their English skills in a friendly and supportive setting. Held on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 PM in the multi-purpose
room at Bethel, the Café is arranged in a relaxed, restaurant-style atmosphere. Each table will have a facilitator who will engage attendees in everyday conversations, guiding them in
developing their language proficiency. Snacks and refreshment is provided.
